Traffic changes due to work in the Mompantero tunnel and on the Pietrastretta and Brunetta viaducts
Susa, May 4, 2026 – SITAF, concessionaire of the A32 Turin – Bardonecchia and the T4 Frejus Tunnel, announces that, to allow for restoration work on the vault cladding of the Mompantero tunnel (direction Bardonecchia) and the simultaneous redevelopment of the superstructure of the Pietrastretta and Brunetta viaducts, traffic will undergo the following changes:
Susa – Oulx section (Mompantero Tunnel)
From 5/05/2026 to 29/05/2026, the lane change from km 36+600 to km 38+950 will be active.
Traffic will be managed in two directions on the Turin-bound carriageway, within the Mompantero tunnel arch normally reserved for this direction of travel.
Furthermore, to facilitate traffic flows:
Direction Turin: the overtaking lane is close between km 40+000 and km 36+600.
Direction Bardonecchia: the overtaking lane is closed from km 33+900 to km 38+950.
SITAF urges drivers to pay close attention to construction site signs, strictly observe speed limits, and plan their journeys in advance. Please note the possibility of delays during rush hour and on peak tourist days.
