Frejus Tunnel: Total closure from January 24 to 25, 2026
Bardonecchia, December 23, 2025 – SITAF SpA, concessionaire of the A32 Turin–Bardonecchia motorway and the Frejus Tunnel (T4), informs users that from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24 to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, the Fréjus Tunnel will be completely closed, for maintenance work (total closure duration: 8 hours). In addition, from January 19, 2026 to January 23, 2026, during night-time hours from 10:15 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., the tunnel will be open bidirectionally. Attached below are details of the scheduled closures for JANUARY 2026.
Safety recommendations
SITAF recommends that drivers exercise extreme caution and strictly adhere to signs inside the tunnel, remembering that overtaking is absolutely prohibited during one-way and two-way traffic.
